Gender Equality In India

Equality for women isn’t a women’s issue. When women fulfil their potential, everyone benefits. Equality means better politics, a more vibrant economy, a workforce that draws on the talents of the whole population and a society at ease with itself. The VOW movement is working towards such a society.

Every day in India women face inequality at home, at work, in politics and in public life. That makes our nation a worse place to live for everybody. Although our country has a ratio of 945 women per 1000 men as of 2017, the atrocities and discrimination against women has not seen a serious decline till this day. This means that women’s voices are not getting heard at home, at work, in politics, the law, in business, etc.
